KemPress NZ fittings are now equipped with the ˮUn-Pressed Fitting ID“ feature to assist in identifying un-pressed fittings. Designed to allow water or air to escape from any un-pressed fitting via low pressure testing. Utilises a O-ring design to help you identify an unpressed fitting.

Press copper fittings up to DN25 are equipped with the unique ‘Push & Stay’ feature. Utilising strict process control, the tightest of manufacturing tolerances and the most accurate production technology, KemPress NZ press fittings have been designed to ensure the fitting is tight enough to stay on the tube prior to pressing. Such a feature is symbolic of the high quality manufacturing and quality control processes employed during manufacture. KemPress NZ “Push & Stay” has been designed to minimise risk during the installation process and make KemPress fittings easier to install with the following benefits:

Kembla Copper Tube with KemCore Technology

A press-fit system is only as good as the tools, fittings and tube you press with. Utilising our unique and innovative KemCore technology for sizes up to DN25, Kembla Copper Tube has superior concentricity and consistent wall thickness and is optimised for superior performance with press fittings. MM Kembla’s KemCore technology uses unrivalled measurement systems and process controls to deliver optimal structural integrity to ensure long term performance and reliability and optimal conditions under force when fittings are pressed onto it when used with press-fit/crimp systems.
Don’t compromise the quality of your press-fit system by choosing copper tube that’s not optimised for press-fittings.

Visual Press Identification

Once pressed, KemPress NZ will not leak. The KemPress NZ system has been designed to make it very obvious to detect unpressed fittings prior to commissioning of the system. Pressed and unpressed fittings are clearly distinguished on a visual inspection with clear indentation marks present on the fitting once a fitting has been pressed. It is also recommended to mark the fitting with a marker or paint once visual identification of press has occurred – encourages good workmanship.

Inside each KemPress NZ fitting is a sealing element called an Elastomeric O-ring. They are not interchangeable for their different applications.

KemPress NZ fittings are not suitable for Medical Gas, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning applications, Acetylene, Urea Solution, Methanol, Glycerin Triacetate, Coolant Inhibitor, Sodium Hydroxide or Ammoniac-gaseous.

MM Kembla’s manufacturing processes and quality systems are built upon over 100 years of experience in manufacturing copper tube in Port Kembla, Australia. An intensive ISO 9001 certified quality control system is applied to all MM Kembla KemPress NZ fittings.

MM Brands warrants that if any installation using KemPress NZ fittings becomes defective or fails and MM Brands is notified of the details and is satisfied that the defect or failure was a result of a manufacturing defect and not the result of faulty specification, installation or incompatible environment, MM Brands will replace or repair the defective goods and make good the installation.

50 Year Design Life

The KemPress NZ press-fit system has a 50 year design life.

Just like copper, KemPress NZ fittings are designed to last. When installed carefully according to our installation instructions, suitable plumbing system designs to required standards and adequate system maintenance, KemPress NZ fittings have a 50 year design life.
